The damper-controlled lid helps contain odors and bacteria and closes gently, making it suitable for hospital rooms and other quiet places. A foot pedal quietly lifts the lid and enables hands-free trash disposal. Polypropylene is more rigid than polyethylene and is resistant to certain chemicals.
